“CODA” Movie Night with UNH ASL Club and the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association

April 12 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

UNH ASL Club and the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association are co-hosting a movie night on April 12th, 2023 from 6pm-9pm at the Memorial Union Building.  The movie is CODA.  Concessions and club merchandise will be available for purchase.

Here’s the information as outlined by the flyer:

“UNH ASL CLUB MOVIE NIGHT INFORMATION 

DATE: April 12, 6-9pm in MUB Theater 2 

ABOUT CODA:
CODA (stands for Child of Deaf Adults) starring Marlee Matlin is a film about a girl growing up with deaf parents and a deaf brother. The movie focuses on the hardships that follow her through her life while she balances working for her family’s fishing business, school, and her passion for singing.  

DISCUSSION PANEL:
We will be having guest speakers talk and sign about their experiences being deaf and how they specifically relate to the movie.   

PARKING:
Parking instructions are to be determined.

CONCESSIONS AND MERCH:
Pizza will cost $2 per slice and will be first come first serve. 
We will also be offering popcorn, soda and water.
The ASL Club will be selling t-shirts, crewnecks, and stickers- we will only be taking cash for apparel and stickers
NSSLHA will be offering stickers for purchase, price is TBD.”
