NH Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Meeting

December 13, 2021 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

“NH Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will be meeting on Monday, December 13th, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in rooms 205 and 207 (combined) at the Legislative Office Building in Concord.”

The commission was established to listen to specific ideas of changes that would assist in addressing services or concerns impacting Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and their families, which may facilitate effective public policy.

The meeting’s agenda will be to come up with topics concerning the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community that can turn into proposals to the Department of Education (DOE) and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and developed into bills to be filed with the Legislature for changes in the law.  What problems are there for Deaf/Hard of Hearing that should be addressed either by statute in a department or my new legislation?

In addition to suggestions from the members of the Commission, Chairman Representative Mark Pearson wants to hear from you.  Our goal, he states, is not just to meet but to make the lives of our fellow deaf and hard of hearing friends better.  “So,” he asks, “what do you suggest?”

All meetings are open to the public.

ASL Interpreters and CART services will be provided.
